Day Two – 30 Days on $100 food challenge

Its already day two and we arent quite hungry. We were able to make a pasta dinner dish tonight for a whopping AUD$0.60 for two people. That kept us under budget for today at around AUD$1.75 for three meals for 2 people. Woot Woot.

    i got a few things for ya. maybe a little mind dump… but hopefully it gets your wheels turning…

    call up friends and schedule times to hang out together (at their house)… around dinner time… see if the local grocery store give free samples (usually on saturday or sunday morning you’ll have taste tests of meat, cheese, fruit etc)…… eating nuts curbs the appetite and gives calories like a champ. visiting mom and dad is always good (again, around dinner time)… drink water before eating, this “fills you up” before you eat… lentils and beans go a long way… generic kool-aid can give you the sugar if you feel you need a sweet drink (you can also dilute the kool-aid and/or borrow sugar from your neighbors) oatmeal is cheap…

    yeah that’s enough brainstorming for now… maybe more later. take care guys… and i love the “milk from work”… priceless.
